Last updated: 11 October 2026. This notice describes the BonZumo food cost calculator, version 1.0.0. The provider is Rittbrunnen AG, Unterdorfstrasse 9, 8507 Hörhausen, Switzerland, represented by Franz Dobler. For questions about the tool and its privacy functions, contact kontakt@bonzumo.de.
The extension processes the values you enter for recipe costing: item names, ingredients, prices, quantities, units, portions, purchase and sales tax rates, currency and target percentage. It also stores your selected language and locally saved items. Storage uses chrome.storage.local within your Chrome profile on your device. You do not need to sign in or create a BonZumo account to use the calculator.
The extension does not automatically send recipes, purchase prices or calculations to BonZumo or other services. It contains no analytics, advertising or tracking function and does not read websites you visit. Its only Chrome permission is storage. It does not use chrome.storage.sync to synchronise saved recipe data. Separately consider the security and backup settings of your computer and Chrome profile.
When exporting JSON, you create a file containing your saved values. You choose where to keep it and whom to share it with. Import reads your selected file locally. Protect export files according to their business sensitivity. Delete backups you no longer need yourself; removing the extension does not delete files you previously exported.
You can delete saved items in the calculator. Uninstalling the extension removes its local Chrome storage; exported files and your own backup copies remain separately available. Opening a BonZumo website or demo link creates an ordinary website visit. The separately linked website privacy notice applies to hosting, optional audience measurement and contact forms during that visit. Recipe data is not attached to these links.
